Well done, jolly good indeed!
Aaaaand as for the question: I would love to say “Yes! I’ve learnt a punch and will never struggle again” but alas, this is not the case. What I did learn was
1: to consentrate on my steps.
2: Not to design, sketch or schedule ANYTHING! Planning works on some people but apparently it never works for me. There for, even if I would love to say I am designing to continue “True story” I can not: it would just jinx it.
3: avoid perfection, aim for progress! This is still a big struggle: half way I realise everything I do is poop and want to restart the whole project. “True story” was not exception, but I just kept going.
4: “I am bad, and that’s good. I’ll never be good and that’s not bad. There is no-one I rather be, than me”. When I struggle getting stuff out of my system, I tend to get distracted fretting about what people might think or what is expected from me and I end up trying too hard and not getting anything done. AT. ALL!
5. Stay the fuck away from tumblr/netflix/steam if you want to get anything done.
6. Finish and publish stuff even if you think it’s poop. That way it is out of your system and you can move on.
These are just points that have worked for me. Until September I used to do the opposite and I never prodused anything.
TL,DR: Don’t try or think: do! Progress over perfection.
Good luck with the art stuff! We are in the same boat, mate. <3
